Jovanka has tranformed hundreds of beautiful women into sexy artistic "bombshells" since 1999. She loves exploring the art and beauty of the female form and is most inspired by the work of Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Richard Avedon and Robert Mapplethorpe. Jovanka is very down to earth and has that special gift of relaxing and guiding you on the set resulting in stunning images. Her most rewarding moment is seeing her clients’ jaw dropping expressions when they view their images after the session and excitedly saying “I can’t believe that’s really me!”.
She is a full-time photographer and co-founder at Bauwerks Photography Studio in Chicago.
Bruno brings decades of hands-on experience to the table and has been involved in just about every scenario and aspect of professional photography. He started shooting for newspapers in his teens and was published numerous times in the European press before he reached the age of 20. He started glamour and boudoir photography in the 90's. Some of his early photographic influences were Helmut Newton, Brassaï, Robert Frank, Gordon Parks and Man Ray. He has years of experience in the analog film world and today’s digital art and craft of photography, ranging from 35mm Leica’s to large format 4×5 view cameras all the way to modern professional digital cameras.
He is a full-time professional photographer and co-founder at Bauwerks Photography Studio in Chicago and a member of American Photographic Artists APA.
All of our makeup and hair stylists are full time professionals with years of experience in the photography and video markets. For the convenience of our numerous clients, we offer reasonably priced makeup and hair styling services in our studio or on-location, featuring a full service makeup section and wardrobe room.
Anna has been trained and educated for all media production by London Eyes International Academy of Makeup and Hair. She has had extensive experience in Sweden, Poland, and the United States. Since 2003, Anna has directed, created, and applied makeup designs for fashion shows, theater, video productions, photo shoots, performances, and individuals. She is a hard worker who perseveres until reaching her goal. She is an enthusiastic and creative person with a great attitude towards her work, and since she is always eager and willing to learn she is a very good team worker. She consider makeup art to be a creative exercise in outer and inner metamorphosis. Through the medium of expertly done makeup, she transform her subjects into confident and spectacular women on the set. Her goal is to share her love of makeup with everyone she can.
Amy is a very versatile professional and enjoys working on a wide range of projects. She has provided her services to a variety of projects and companies since 1994 such as The Voice, American Idol, The Knot, Random House, Old Spice, Saks Fifth Avenue, WCIU-You & Me in the Morning and Max Mara. She received her education from Columbia College, Chicago, including advanced media training in photography and video makeup. Her passion is to apply the art of makeup through "the right attitude, technique and rhythm". She strongly believes that good makeup enhances a persons character and personality and enforces the objectives and concept of a photo session without too much distraction. Amy also specializes in face contouring for black and white fine art photography. She works with many individual clients and companies throughout Chicagoland on a daily basis and also teaches makeup courses at local colleges such as Columbia.
Bauwerks is a member of Professional Photographers of America, an exclusive photographic trade organization that was founded over 125 years ago. By being a member, we strictly adhere to their code of photographic business ethics and professional practices. We operate a conveniently located storefront studio and offices with a personal touch and a comfortable feeling centrally located in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. We are located 2 blocks north of the intersection of Clybourn, Fullerton and Ashland at 2475 North Clybourn Avenue. Our studio features multiple sets including countless backgrounds, props and an authentic urban setting with century old brick walls. We work with leading camera and strobe equipment, print processing materials and digital imaging software.
